It’s the first episode of the new year, and Will and Drew take a look back at all of the games they played in 2020 – new and old – and hand out some awards! What game gets the Willie and the Drewie for Game of the Year? How about Best Hairstyle? Best Music? Tune in to find out!
Will has finally defeated The Last Guardian! After a few weeks of being down on the game, Will makes a shocking statement. Did the game get dramatically better? Or did it continue down a negative path?
Plus, Drew has been encountering frustrations with his Xbox’s Quick Resume, and catches everyone up on Fallen Order.
All this plus the mailbag, and live chatter with the Twitch chat!
#MusicMonday returns with one more track from The Last Guardian. Get swept away with emotions while you listen to “Forest”. The Last Guardian is an unforgettable story, and the soundtrack is equally unforgettable in my opinion. It’s got that big orchestral story driven sound you’d expect from a major motion picture, and who doesn’t appreciate that? There are notes of mystery, suspense, solitude, sadness, and every human emotion packed into this track, and the rest of this brilliant score. “Forest” soars with orchestral textures, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
Will and Drew are letting loose this week and staying off script! Will gives an update on his playthrough of The Last Guardian, while Drew encourages him to play Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Plus, both chat a bit about Black Friday deals, attempt to figure out what makes a mug “classy,” and much much more!
Will and Drew are back again recording live on Twitch! They chat about Will’s initial thoughts on The Last Guardian, Drew’s impressions of River City Girls, plus some quick hits on Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, and a full review of Spiritfarer!
Wow, folks. Just wow. I haven’t played The Last Guardian yet, however, it’s getting played this week, for sure. I love video game soundtracks, and I often will preview a games score before playing the game. I think it’s safe to say that some soundtracks have sort of, forced me to like mediocre games. Anyway, this soundtrack is soul stirring, uplifting, sad, and invigorating all at the same time. I hope you find solace in this wondrous piece from what appears to be, a very magical game.
