We are excited to welcome back to the show Damien, aka Saikoro! He is a Twitch variety streamer, and extremely talented custom animator, not to mention one of our closest friends. We deep dive into the stream scene to talk about how he’s doing, what he’s working on, and what the future holds, plus much more!
Last week, Will and Drew looked back at 2020. This week? They look forward to 2021! The two chat about games they’re looking forward to – announced and unannounced – and what they hope to see from the industry next year. Plus more!
Bloody Wolf is one of my all time favorites from the 8-bit and 16-bit eras of gaming. It’s a flawed masterpiece for the Turbo-Grafx 16, and has a banger of a soundtrack. But this wouldn’t be a normal #MusicMonday if I didn’t try to find a remixed version of one of my favorite video game tunes, would it?
Here comes a heavy metal instrumental version of the first stage, courtesy of Sixto Sounds. Enjoy!
It’s the first episode of the new year, and Will and Drew take a look back at all of the games they played in 2020 – new and old – and hand out some awards! What game gets the Willie and the Drewie for Game of the Year? How about Best Hairstyle? Best Music? Tune in to find out!
It’s the last episode of WDGR of 2020, and Will and Drew have a ton to talk about, including some of the games they finished this year, what caught their attention, and an extensive mailbag segment. Plus, live chatter with the Twitch chat, and more!
Drew has played about 10 hours of Cyberpunk 2077 on the Xbox Series X, and has walked away from it mostly optimistic. How does it run on the Series X? Are there any bugs? How does he feel about how the game runs on the other consoles?
Plus, Will tried to watch The Game Awards, but couldn’t finish. Drew watched the entire show. Both had vastly differing opinions. Who was in the right? Let us know!
When The Game Awards aired last week, I expected to have dissenting opinions on wins and losses, and hoped for some awesome game trailers. What I didn’t expect was to hear an amazing song that I’ve been addicted to ever since.
“Home Call,” by The Toxic Avenger, played during the trailer for Road 96, (which also looks like my kind of game), and it’s been on constant rotation ever since. I hope it’s actually in the game too. It’s quite fantastic.
Will has finally defeated The Last Guardian! After a few weeks of being down on the game, Will makes a shocking statement. Did the game get dramatically better? Or did it continue down a negative path?
Plus, Drew has been encountering frustrations with his Xbox’s Quick Resume, and catches everyone up on Fallen Order.
All this plus the mailbag, and live chatter with the Twitch chat!
Will and Drew are letting loose this week and staying off script! Will gives an update on his playthrough of The Last Guardian, while Drew encourages him to play Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Plus, both chat a bit about Black Friday deals, attempt to figure out what makes a mug “classy,” and much much more!
